Former Google chief scientist's AI start-up targets $50 bn valuation

Jeff Dean, former Google chief scientist, is raising funds for his AI startup Discovery Loop at a $50 billion valuation, up from $10 billion reported weeks ago. The startup, co-founded with ex-Google veterans, aims to automate scientific discovery. Backers include Radical Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Alphabet, which is also a cloud partner.
