Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) accused China of infringing upon India's sovereignty, saying China has been "illegally occupying" parts of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. India also objected to Chinese projects in the regions. "When it comes to sovereignty issues...it's actually India that should be...and is raising them," it said. It added China has illegally occupied these territories since 1963.
