Tamim met Bangladesh's State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam as the board awaits confirmation for the white-ball series. The tour was initially scheduled for 2024 but was delayed repeatedly. Notably, Bangladesh withdrew from T20 World Cup 2026 in India.
