The government has announced five Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan & 113 Padma Shri Awards for this year. As many as 19 awardees are women. The list also includes six persons from the category of Foreigners/ NRI/PIO/OCI and 16 posthumous awardees. Former Kerala CM VS Achuthanandhan (posthumous) and former judge KT Thomas are among the Padma Vibhushan awardees.
