New virus discovered in China's Wuhan, where COVID-19 broke out

A tick-borne virus has been discovered in China, including in Wuhan, where COVID-19 broke out, reports said. The virus, named Asian longhorned tick nairovirus (ALTNV), can cause flu-like illness, fatigue, and gastrointestinal symptoms. It was detected in as many as 329 patients. The virus is also known to cause reduced blood platelet counts.
