Ahead of the West Bengal Assembly polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah released a 15-year chargesheet against Mamata Banerjee's government, criticising its governance and handling of national security. He said that the state had become the country's principal corridor for infiltration. He added, "The security of the country is, in a way, linked to the Bengal election."
