Chinese tech billionaire and ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming surpassed Mukesh Ambani to become the second richest person in Asia. Before launching ByteDance, the firm behind TikTok, in 2012, Zhang worked at several tech firms, including Microsoft. Further, Zhang also built Toutiao, a news recommendation platform, and AI chatbot Doubao, which attracts over 300 million monthly users in China.
