The Department of Public Enterprises on Friday granted the 'Navratna' status to the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA). The status will allow the public sector enterprise to invest up to ₹1,000 crore without needing approval from the government. It can also invest up to 30% of its net worth in a year, but not over ₹1,000 crore.
