The 65.1% voter turnout for the Maharashtra Assembly election held on Wednesday was highest in a decade as the state recorded 63.4% voter turnout for 2004 and 2014 elections. It was also the second highest in the state since the 1995 election when a turnout of 71.5% was recorded. Kolhapur led with 76.63% turnout, followed by Gadchiroli at 75.26%.
