Iran's 'mosquito fleet' is a flotilla of small, fast and agile boats designed to harass shipping, and it forms the heart of the naval forces deployed by the Revolutionary Guard. These boats and especially missiles and drones that Guard navy can launch from them, or from camouflaged sites onshore, have been main threat obstructing shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
