A 29-year-old Chinese national who travelled across Ladakh and J&K without permission was detained in Srinagar, officials said on Sunday. Hu Congtai arrived on a tourist visa restricted to Buddhist sites, but he flew to Leh, skipped mandatory registration, used an Indian SIM, and searched CRPF deployments. He is being questioned and may be deported back to his country.
