PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Phase I of the Noida International Airport in UP's Jewar. Built at a cost of around ₹11,200 crore under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, the airport will initially handle 12 million passengers annually, with capacity scalable to 70 million passengers per annum upon full development. PM said the airport will ease congestion at Delhi's IGI Airport.
