25 tonnes of adulterated ghee seized in Hyderabad

Hyderabad Food Safety Department seized 25.5 tonnes of adulterated ghee on Tuesday after raiding 130 establishments. Police also seized 8.7 tonnes of cream 1,200 litres of palm oil, 600 litres of vanaspati and 30 kg of starch with artificial ghee adulteration ranging from 10% to 40%. The products were packed and marketed with labels of "100% pure ghee".
