Marvel Rivals' developer NetEase recently announced large-scale layoffs. Soon after, they revealed that Marvel Rivals had surpassed 40 million players and has led in player count since January. NetEase claims they are focusing on the game's core development team in China, which remains unaffected by the layoffs.
