Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath questioned why generic GLP-1 weight-loss drugs have not seen a surge in demand in India despite becoming significantly cheaper than a "gym membership". Responding to him, Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw highlighted the long-term risks associated with GLP-1. "For those who are not diabetic or clinically obese, diet and exercise should be the first option," she said.
