Uber, Ola still asking for pre-ride tips despite govt's order: Report

Ride-hailing apps like Uber and Ola are still asking users to pay tips before the ride is booked, despite the government's advisory to remove such prompts, Financial Express reported. The Road Transport and Highways Ministry said tipping should be "voluntary" and offered after journey's completion. It added that tipping prompts could create an impression that paying extra may improve service.
