Netaji Bose's daughter seeks return of his ashes from Japan, SC asks govt to reply

Supreme Court sought Centre's response to a plea by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's daughter, Anita Bose Pfaff (83), seeking the return of freedom fighter's mortal remains from Tokyo's Renkoji Temple. Bose is widely believed to have died in an air crash in 1945 in modern-day Taiwan. In March, SC declined to entertain Netaji's grandnephew's plea, saying Pfaff should step forward.
