Ex-India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar said emotions run high and cricketing logic "goes out of the window" when it comes to taking a decision on big players because of "icon culture" in India. He stated selectors wait for these players to retire on their own as they don't want to be seen as "villains". "They just fear the backlash," he stated.
