The delay in release of 'Jana Nayagan' has led to nearly ₹100 crore in losses for theatres in Tamil Nadu, stated a trade analyst. The film, initially scheduled for January 9, has yet to premiere as it remains stuck in limbo due to CBFC's certification delay. During Pongal, the film was expected to earn ₹150-200 crore in Tamil Nadu alone.
