West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee accused central forces of attempting to "capture" EVMs kept in strongrooms after the first phase of polling on April 23. She alleged that power to two strongrooms where EVMs are kept was cut off and that central forces escorted criminals to those places to capture EVMs. The EC said all EVMs are safe and secure.
