Delhi L-G VK Saxena on Tuesday directed the Transport Department and civic bodies to stop impounding bona fide vintage vehicles for scrapping. This comes amid reports of alleged harassment of vintage car owners by agencies enforcing anti-pollution norms in the national capital. Notably, the authorities impound diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years.
