The government responded after commercial LPG prices were hiked by ₹195.5/19 kg cylinder. It attributed the price hike to a 44% rise in the Saudi Contract price, adding that the prices of domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged across India. The government said domestic LPG cylinders cost ₹913 in India, ₹1,046 in Pakistan, ₹1,242 in Sri Lanka and ₹1,208 in Nepal.
