Union IT Ministry cracked down on X for allowing users to make women's vulgar and obscene AI-generated images to denigrate them. In its letter to the Elon Musk-owned platform sent hours after Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi flagged the issue, the ministry said, "Such conduct reflects serious failure of platform-level safeguards." It sought an action taken report from X.
