11 dead after blast in firecracker factory in UP, CM announces ex-gratia

Eleven people were killed, and five were injured after massive explosion at a firecracker factory in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi on Monday. CM Yogi Adityanath has announced financial aid of ₹2 lakh each to next of kin of deceased and ₹50,000 each to the injured. Over a dozen fire tenders and around two dozen ambulances have been deployed at the site.
