Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain has passed away aged 73 in San Francisco, his family said on Monday. Hussain died due to complications arising out of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. He had been hospitalised for last two weeks and was later taken to ICU. On Sunday, reports of his death emerged, but his family denied the rumours, saying he was "very critical".
