Households across the world are likely to face new worries as the Middle East war threatens to disrupt supplies of sulphur, a byproduct of oil refining required for fertilisers, batteries, chemicals, metals and semiconductors, NDTV reported. The supply shock can slow factory production and push food prices higher. Notably, India imports a large portion of its sulphur demand.
