The Kolkata Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has approved ITC's plan to demerge its hotels business. Under the demerger plan, ITC will maintain 40% ownership of ITC Hotels, while ITC shareholders will acquire the remaining 60%. The plan will be effective on the first day of the following month after fulfilling certain conditions, ITC said.
