Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said PM Narendra Modi has called for conserving foreign exchange to protect Indian citizens and industries. She said high crude oil prices, fluctuating fertiliser rates and steep gold prices over the past 80-90 days have posed challenges, and since payments for all three require foreign exchange, the PM has urged efforts to save it.
