64 PGs raided in B'luru, expired items & synthetic food colour seized

Karnataka Food Safety and Drug Administration officials raided 64 paying guest (PG) accommodations in Bengaluru as part of a special inspection drive. During inspections, 23 PGs were issued notices for poor hygiene and violations of food safety regulations. Officials seized expired curd, rice flour, bisibele bath powder, synthetic food colour, black pepper and misbranded food items from some PGs.
