Trading on Turkey's stock market ​was halted, and government bonds fell sharply on Thursday after country's top court annulled the congress which elected Ozgur Ozel as the leader of the opposition Republican People's Party. The move fuelled a 6% drop in ​Turkey's BIST 100 equity index, which triggered a market-wide circuit breaker. The market remained volatile on Friday.
