Why isn't Mamata in jail?: RG Kar victim's mother as she seeks expansion of probe

BJP's Ratna Debnath, RG Kar rape-murder victim's mother, has renewed her demand for an expanded probe into her daughter's death. She sought inclusion of ex-CM Mamata Banerjee, who was also health minister in 2024, and State Health Secretary Narayan Swaroop Nigam in inquiry. Debnath questioned why officials remain unpunished, saying, "Why hasn't ex-health minister gone to jail all this time?"
