Sales of London's expensive homes declined in the 12 months to July, reported Bloomberg. This was mostly due to market uncertainty ahead of UK elections in July, in which the Labour Party won. The new government is expected to hike capital gains and inheritance taxes in the upcoming Budget and overhaul tax rule which allows non-doms to avoid paying tax.
