China has developed a prototype extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machine that can produce smaller AI semiconductor chips faster, Reuters reported. The technology, which has historically been dominated by ASML, was developed inside a high-security lab in Shenzhen under a technology-focused "Manhattan Project". Former ASML engineers and Huawei reportedly helped China build the machine.
