Assam has reported its first case of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) after a 10-month-old baby tested positive. The child was admitted to a state-run hospital in Dibrugarh with cold-related symptoms four days ago, PTI reported citing an official. The doctors said his health condition is stable. The HMPV infection was reportedly diagnosed during a routine test.
