Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated the party's decisive victory in Assam and West Bengal. "By winning West Bengal, we've made the whole of North East more safe," he said. "CM of five states, Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, West Bengal, work together, the stretch from the Chicken's neck (Siliguri) to the whole of northeast India will be secure," said Sarma.
