A Karnataka consumer commission has ordered Cathay Pacific to pay ₹2.03 lakh to a man who was injured on a Bengaluru-Hong Kong-Beijing flight in June 2024. The man got a head injury while exiting the plane's toilet as a cabin crew member opened an overhead compartment. The commission noted that keeping the overhead compartment open was a deficiency in service.
