Hospitals in Sri Lanka are facing a shortage of medicines amid a severe economic crisis in the country. This has led to some surgeries being cancelled, according to Reuters. Out of 1,325 drugs that the government provides to state-run hospitals, three life-saving medicines have completely run out and another 140 essential ones are in short supply, an official said.
