Tukaram Mundhe conducts 3,000 raids in 3 months
Maharashtra FDA chief Tukaram Mundhe, who has been winning praise for launching a crackdown on unhygienic food practices, conducted 3,000 raids since taking office on May, Reuters reported. When asked about his 'no-nonsense' approach, he replied, "Those who try to not comply, they will face what is expected from the regulator...You are dealing with the lives of people."
