Chinese state-media Global Times responded after US said it won't allow India to emerge as competitor like China. "The claim...sounds odd. Does it imply that China's rise happened because US allowed it? Or that US won't allow India's development? The logic is puzzling," it wrote. US had said it won't make same mistakes with India that it made with China.
