The police in Lakhimpur district, UP has filed closure report in the case in which it blamed monkeys for gold theft. It said the case can't move forward as the two storeroom custodians have died. The matter originates from a 2007 dowry death case and involves jewellery belonging to deceased woman that had remained in police custody while trial continued.
