Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that the BJP in Assam is effectively "Congress led by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma with a saffron party's label". This comes after the BJP fielded several defectors from Congress as candidates for the Assembly elections. Gogoi said the elections would be between Congress led by former CM late Tarun Gogoi and "Congress led by Sarma".
