International Air Transport Association (IATA) chief Willie Walsh said Apple will earn more by selling its iPhone cover than the $7.9 profit/passenger airlines will make in 2026. Highlighting slim profit margins in airline industry, Walsh said the industry will make $41 billion globally. "Industry-level margins are still a pittance," he added, noting that profit/passenger in 2023 was $8.5.
