Delhi's share in India's GDP falls over 10 years; Noida, Ghaziabad gain ground

Delhi's contribution to India's GDP fell from 4% in 2015-16 to 3.67% in 2024-25, a CAG report tabled in Delhi Assembly by CM Rekha Gupta showed. Meanwhile, Noida's share rose to 0.87% in FY24 from 0.84% in FY18, while Ghaziabad's contribution increased to 0.39% from 0.24%, according to a Moneycontrol analysis. Bengaluru and Mumbai's shares also rose during the period.
