Sensex ended 999 points lower on Friday, below 76,700, after weaker-than-expected growth guidance by IT firms dragged their shares lower. Nifty also ended the day in the red, as it closed over 275 points lower near 23,900. The sell-off in Sensex wiped off investor wealth worth ₹4,47,044 crore as the combined m-cap of BSE-listed firms fell to ₹461,65,759.53 crore.
