No NGT ruling from Jan-June favoured environmental groups: Report

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) did not rule in favour of environmental groups and public-interest parties in any of the 16 merit appeals in the first six months of 2026, a database tracking court judgements found. Property owners or industry side achieved a 58.8% success rate with merit appeals, it showed. The analysis examined 119 appeals filed at five benches.
