At least 50 people were killed and 20 others injured when militants attacked a convoy of passenger vehicles in northwest Pakistan on Thursday. The convoy was travelling from Parachinar to Peshawar in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province when gunmen ambushed it. Most of the victims, which included eight women and five children, were from the Shia community.
