Maharashtra approves ₹230 cr plan to develop Phulewada

Maharashtra approved a ₹230 crore plan to develop Phulewada, the former Pune residence of Jyotiba and Savitribai Phule, ahead of Jyotiba Phule's 200th birth anniversary. The plan covers beautification and land acquisition. The Bhidewada memorial, where Savitribai started India's first girls' school, will be completed within three weeks, said Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
