Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told Parliament that there is no proposal for a complete loan waiver for farmers under consideration. She said the focus is on improving farmers' finances through schemes like Kisan Credit Card, which offers crop loans up to ₹3 lakh at subsidised interest rate. Additionally, the limit for collateral-free loans has also been increased to ₹2 lakh.
