What is the tiger population across states in India?

Madhya Pradesh has the highest population of wild tigers in India, with 785 tigers, according to the 2022 census by the All India Tiger Estimation (AITE). Karnataka ranks second on the list with 563 tigers, while Uttarakhand is third with 560 tigers. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala follow with 444, 306, and 213 tigers, respectively.
