Ram Temple in Ayodhya introduces new dress code for priests
Priests at Ayodhya's Ram temple will now wear light-yellow silk dhotis and matching unstitched uttariyas under a new dress code. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust's religious committee replaced stitched chaubandi kurta and turban, citing Ramanandi tradition. Traditional Ramanandi tilak has also been made mandatory, while priests must either follow the Panchkesh tradition or remain shaven.
